Blog: including eBay-watch advice onbuying guitars and basses advice on selling guitars and basses free guitar valuations About this site Forum: discuss guitars

get your 100% free guitar valuation!

Using my sizeable database of past sales of guitars (both from eBay and privately) as well as Blue Book reference material I will produce a 100% free valuation for you of your electric guitar or electric bass. Click here for an example of what you will get.

All I need is for you to email me the serial number of the instrument and at least 2 pictures; one of the front of the guitar and one of the back. The better quality they are, the more accurate I can be on the valuation. The pictures need to include both the body and head of the guitar. You should also include a brief description of the condition of the guitar and optionally, any other information that you think relevant. This service is completely free; I've decided to do this in order to get some interest in the site, seeing as it's new.

The terms and conditions of this service are simple:

  1. The valuation provided is opinion. It is based on experience and research but it is still opinion. I will not be held liable for any action you take as a result of this service. No warranty is provided or should be implied.
  2. By using this service, you give me permission to hold the information you provide in a database for the purpose of tracking all valuations provided and assuring their validity. This database will not be used for any other purpose.
  3. You can check the validity of any Plucked Out valuation by emailing me with the details of the certificate number and the serial number of the guitar in question. I will then confirm whether or not the certificate is valid.
  4. By emailing me, you give me permission to add you to my mailing list which will only be used to mail you news about this site - I will not spam you or pass on your email address to anyone. If you want to me removed from the mailing list, simply reply to any email from me and put the word "unsubscribe" in the email subject field
  5. I reserve the right to withdraw this offer at any time; hopefully I won't have to but if I get 20 million requests then I might need this clause...
